The core team at R.K. Gore & Associates has been working together for over fifteen years, exclusively serving builder-developer clients across the nation. We are proud to have built a practice that delivers a high level of specialized service for this particular clientele. Our desire to maintain this standard of service inspired our tight-knit team to leave the publicly traded broker world and take the risk to start our own company.

Robert K. Gore


As a noted risk management consultant to the residential building industry, Robert K. Gore has spent almost two decades working with the top homebuilders across the nation. Bob began his underwriting career in London and later in the U.S. working on behalf of syndicates at Lloyd's of London, eventually winding up his underwriting career at AIG. Bob moved to the broking side in 1999 to work for Aon, later heading up the company's residential building practice group. Bob built a similar leading edge practice at Willis before forming his own company, R.K. Gore & Associates, with the goal of creating a less bureaucratic, more nimble firm that is dedicated to building long-term relationships with discerning clients.

Robert maintains that homebuilders "are a unique group" in that the clients are almost certain to use their insurance policies. "Understanding a builder's unique goals allows our team to tailor policies to our clients' maximum benefit. The coverage should be written in a manner that reflects the client's business model while offering the best protection the market can provide.”

From combing through policy language to negotiating policy changes, Bob insists upon attention to detail in the underwriting and management of his clients' business. Kelley Gubernick

Executive Vice President / Account Executive

With over 18 years' experience working with homebuilders, Kelley has one of the strongest backgrounds in the business. Having worked her way up through the industry, Kelley is very familiar with all aspects of servicing a homebuilder. That knowledge, coupled with her unparalleled focus on customer service, attention to detail and work ethic make her one of the most valued account executives in the industry by her clients.

Kelley especially enjoys the demanding nature of a homebuilder focused team. “We know that in this litigious environment these clients will actually have to rely on the coverage we place, so it’s crucial that the coverage is adequate and properly structured."

Kelley began her career with the core team while still at Aon and has worked with them for nearly 20 years. Kelley has been instrumental in setting up the technology and processes at R.K. Gore and in addition to her account executive role, oversees the training of all new hires and reviews internal processes to ensure they are as client friendly and streamlined as possible.

Tyler L. Lund, ARM

Vice President / Account Executive

Tyler began his insurance career with the construction and homebuilding insurance practice at Aon in 2006 and has been with the core residential practice team ever since.  During his tenure he has played a vital role in helping grow the practice to its success today.  He built his career on listening to the concerns of his clients and providing tailored service to address those concerns.  Whether it be as simple as how certificates of insurance are issued to as complex as amending insurance contract language to address a specific client need – he listens and then gets it done.

Tyler has a track record of personal business success that provides a different point of view when working with his clients.  Through his experience as head of a small business investment firm he understands how difficult finding the right insurance can be and takes pride in providing the expertise to find the right coverage and terms for his clients.  Tyler’s clients appreciate how he works tirelessly to remove their “insurance worry” on a daily basis.

Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from Brigham Young University as well as his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.

Joanna "Jo" Burleson

Account Manager

Joanna started her professional career in the insurance industry as R.K. Gore and Associates first hire in June 2015.  With a previous background in the construction and hospitality indistries, she promptly established good working relationships with clients, carriers, and intermediaries.  Jo enjoys the intense and fast-paced work environment of developer/builder clients and strives to provide each on with VIP service.

Jo has effortlessly adapted to the high-volume of requests she receives daily.  She collaborates closely with the Executive Team to expand her knowledge of the comprehensive programs, coverages and nuances of each clients' exposures.  Joanna brings unparalleled customer service skills to the team.  Joanna is loved for her unique blend of personality and professionalism, which appeals to a large array of clients.

Joanna wears many hats but one of her primary roles is to ensure client deliverables including COI's, endorsements, invoices, etc. are issued accurately and in a timely manner allowing our clients to access project sites, permitting services, and comply with lender requirements.  Recently, Joanna has taken the lead on training new employees and managing the workflow with the support staff and assisting Kelley in developing processes and protocols for each of our clients to ensure we provide the detailed service they deserve.
